Fit, Fierce and Fabulous with 10X Heavy-Weight, Champion Lauren Powers

What Does Choosing YOURSELF Mean?

I've been left to be speaking in India, like, I won some big awards for women economic form, which is fabulous. Dr. Herbin Aurora, one of my mentors and one of the top 100 most influential women in the world up there with Oprah and all that. Yeah. She was on my summit during Coves. I was just so honored to be part of that whole tribe of women entrepreneurs from all over the world. But I chose to start with just my journey of being around so many women entrepreneurs and just interviewing them and finding out what a common thread, literally between all of them, and this word choice kept coming up, like, I did 30 interviews straight of some of the top women in the world. They're all like women entrepreneurs that own women's networking groups from, like, Sandra Nancy that owns women networking. Shelley Hunt on Global women are changed. Maella runs, though. Women have changed, like, just create, big names in the industry and big speakers, and everyone talked about this word, choosing and making it, having a choice, and so from that, I'm like, wow. Okay. Where can I go with that? Because my lane is obviously health and wellness, I chose me because so many of these women that I found put themselves last, especially with their fitness and their health. It's like the end of the day, they're so exhausted. The last thing they want to do is go to the gym or get on the floor and do some sit ups or some bicep curls. They're like, Laura forgot me. I just want to pass out because they're dealing with the most women professionals like yourself. They're so busy building their business and networking at whatever it is that they're doing their products or services that at the end of the day, that's it. They're done. They're toast because they've got families. They're running the house. They're like, of course, they're doing everything.

Everything Is Thriving When God Is Your Mentor

So it used to be that I chose me. But now I choose him, and that chose me and my whole life personally, just to share a little bit of the back front completely changed when I got my priorities in that order and too much faith and fitness. I've got so many things to face to build because it's so important. Like, I know God is my mentor. He's on my team and everything is thriving. So the same thing will happen when the women that I coach switch that mindset and just make themselves a top priority, especially in health and wellness. Let's face it, without your health, what is your wealth? I don't know so many women that they fill all this well because they're killing it and their entrepreneurs and their profession. They're busy. They work all the time right there. But their health is falling to the wayside, and what happens then? They get ill. I forbid something happens to any of your listeners because again, it needs to be such a top priority, and if you think about it, everybody that you put first, your family, your children, your husband, whatever it may be, they're the ones that are going to lose. If you go down, it doesn't make any sense. The logic behind it, if you really think about it right to put yourself last makes no sense, because if you get sick, everyone's going to suffer that you've been putting first or gratuities. What I found, now they're spending all their Wells to get their health. It's backwards. So the whole program and the whole thing is to get to put yourself again, Faith, and then yourself first, because everyone around you, when you feel good and you're confident and you're empowered and you are looking good, feeling good. You're back in your business suits, whatever it is that your goals are in, especially in the fitness Lane. Your conference goes up and everything thrives around you. People are magnetized to you. Like, I get all the time there's, like, for. You're so infectious. Even though, like, a platform like this. We were like, it's feeling energy through.

Health Is Wealth

I tell people my physique is on purpose, and I consider myself a custom physique designer. Let's say that again, custom physique designer. Not to be confused with a personal trainer because it's so much more. I mean, it really is. We talk about faith. We talk about fitness as well. Putting your health first, changing that mindset working about nutrition and supplementation stress. Get your hormone balance. All of these things are so critical when it comes to your health, getting on prescription drugs, and all of these things. I'm finding women have inflammation. They have pain. I'm like, oh, my gosh. I live my life to be pain-free.

Set Yourself Up For Success

Set yourself up for success, and that's not going to be about. I'm going to take a step by step each day from what foods we eat, what supplements we take, even what clothes we wear, how low mini fashion shows, equipment to buy for home gyms aren't open yet. You want to still be able to do it, and again, not to overwhelm you, and my whole thing is, too, is the people that coach with me. If I have them carve out their calendar, literally making a date with themselves. Self-care, self-love comes in, and choosing yourself is carved. That time out there were no distractions, whether it's getting a massage or giving yourself a facial or magic the smallest things. Yes, but then it all adds up. You start doing that every day, and maybe it's only 20 minutes at first, and you can move them to a half hour, and my whole goal is to have women date themselves for an hour.

Stay Committed, Stand For Yourself

We really give them an hour, whether it is going to the gym, working out, jumping online with me, and coming to the power hour. Whatever that hour looks like, harm it out, and if you're anything like me, my phone and the calendar runs my life, that's not even our own today. Okay. It's a schedule. Is there? Okay. Boom. I just don't wear it to be okay at this time. This time, this time. But it's organized, and so you don't get that feeling. I'm overwhelmed because that sees you down, and let's face it. We really want to keep our stress level more organized and simpler. We can do it and give ourselves great. I'm all about that. Like whatever you did yesterday, or you ate chocolate cake last night. If it's someone's birthday, whatever, don't beat yourself up. I work a lot of times. They come in there like, oh, I hate this. That and look at. I gave this to you. Puns are cold at it, and then what is this? What is this? They look in the mirror and they start Loading themselves and feeding themselves up, and then those negative self-talk come out, and then they're saying these horrible things to themselves in the mirror. I'm like, stop, stop, stop, stop, and then we got to change the language super important and give yourself Grace Ladies, it's okay. You know what I mean? The thing is, you have to look at it to decide now whether you're listening right this minute. Take it to stand and stay committed and stand for yourself. Stand for yourself and for your confidence and your body and elevate yourself and give yourself that time and not be yourself up.

Give Yourself Permission To Take Care of Yourself

It's not a broken record. You need to get it over and over and over again. You've got to give yourself permission to take care of yourself and be compassionate with yourself. There's gonna be some days where you're going to eat nothing but fruits and veggies and meat and be super healthy, and then there's me some days. Were you on a spot for the chocolate cake and it’s okay to do that. Don't beat yourself up for it. Because what I tell my clients is, would you tell others the same way that you talk to yourself? So change the language. If you're saying, gosh, I'm such an idiot or, oh, I can't believe I ate this. Well, would you look at somebody and say, you’re an idiot? No. Would you say your thoughts? No. So why do we tell ourselves these things? Yes. Exactly. Self- love, ladies. Self- love. Wherever you are, like I said, we're giving yourself Grace, and that permission. I like that, create them permission. Those two and together, and then you feel better and things will change, and I don't even like talking about losing weight.

Make The Best Version Of Yourself

I had a girl that wanted to be a professional singer to get famous and all this, and she was looking at her super skinny fingers, and I'm like, you will never look like that. It's not your frame, your guiding design in that way. Let's make the best version of you with what you have and to sculpt it and make it beautiful. You can't recover. You'll get an eating to sort. You know what I mean, try to be on, and so that's the whole thing, too, is you've got to be true to yourself and who you are and who you're meant to be, and then you can make choices and decide, and you can get, of course, tone and firm and salt, and we can always level up. I won all these awards or whatever, and I'm always looking to better myself like it's never enough, even if it was myself, because you can always fine tune, and there's nothing wrong with that. But when you're trying to be someone that you're not or you compare, and I talk about this too, and a lot of my speeches as women, too. We tend to compete and compare instead of elaborate. It's a big difference. You know what I mean? You have your own confidence and collaborate with people and lift each other up.

Danielle Cobo

Welcome to Dream Job with Danielle Cobo. I am Danielle Cobo, elite career coach, and I believe every woman should step into their dream job and earn the salary they are worth. Today, I have a very exciting guest. She is a ten time heavyweight champion. She is an author, a model and actress and entrepreneur. She has worked with celebrities such as Lady Gaga, JLo, Jennifer Hudson. She opened up the NBC iHeartRadio Music Awards with Nick Jonas, and she is an international bestselling author with her book Beneath the Muscle. I am so excited to introduce to you today, Lauren Powers. Thank you.

Lauren Powers

The dogs are barking. They're excited too. The dogs are walking on the red carpet. This is how I roll. It is just live, and this is what we do. Just being transferred, authentic. So they're going to be wrestling in the back. I hope they go. They're out the door. Perfect. Thanks. I'm really blessed to be on your show, Sweetie. I'm just super proud of you for doing what you're doing and giving women entrepreneurs a platform to show their value, in that way. Our worth is so important and so many women undervalue themselves. You know what I mean. Especially women that faith women that come from generous hearts. We tend to not work up to our full potential. We have so much to give and so much knowledge, and we're experts in our field. But then people want to enroll with us. It's like, oh, boy. Now we have to ask them for money. That's a great topic. I mean, what you're doing, it’s great. But I've had lots of coaching on that. So I'm good with that.

Danielle Cobo

Yes, you are definitely valuable. You have made such an impact on women everywhere. You've really shown what it's like to be confident within your own skin and to really love yourself and choose yourself. So what does that mean to you to choose me?

Lauren Powers

Absolutely. That's actually one of my topics that I share from stage, and I've been left to be speaking in India, like, I won some big awards for women economic form, which is fabulous. Dr. Herbin Aurora, one of my mentors and one of the top 100 most influential women in the world up there with Oprah and all that. Yeah. She was on my summit during Coves. They're toast because they've got families. They're running the house. They're like, of course, they're doing everything.

Danielle Cobo

Everything.

Lauren Powers

Yeah, and even you're a mom and you're running this business now. Me like, there's always all these things going on. We have to switch that mindset and realize that we have to put not ourselves last. But now I've voiced my priority. I want a Disclaimer right now. I put God first and then myself.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

So it used to be I choose me. But now I choose him, and that chose me and my whole life personally, just to share a little bit back front completely changed when I got my priorities in that order and too much faith and fitness, I've got so many things face build because it's so important. Like, I get all the time there's, like, for. You're so infectious. Even through, like, a like a platform like this. We were like, it's feeling energy through.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah, through energy.

Lauren Powers

In Ad. It's like I can't fix that. Yes, I'm an actress, but I can't fix that stuff. It's because it's real and it's transparent. It's because I do have that inner confidence because I take care of myself, and people like, oh, gosh,  you're always you're doing acupuncture, you're getting massage or doing facials or all these new technologies are coming out dry skin and like, OMEL and whatever these things are, I try everything. I'm constantly doing is self-care and self-love. Why? Because this is my machine.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

I'm in. I have to be the Roma and mentor to other women so they can look at me. Yes, most of my clients, they don't want to be bodybuilders. Come on, let's just get that out of the way right now. I never want to be that big. I don't want to have muscles like you. I'm like, Sweetheart, you'll never be. We have pretty little head.

Danielle Cobo

It's not gonna help take a lot of work to get to where your ad.

Lauren Powers

It's like, 40 years’ worth of being a special athlete out. It's not going to happen. So I love this way on purpose, and I tell people my physique is on purpose, and I consider myself a custom physique designer. Let's say that again, custom physique designer. Not to conclude. Yes. Thank you. I'm finding women have they have inflammation. They have pain. I'm like, oh, my gosh. I live my life to be pain-free. So I have so many tips and tricks behind the scenes that I share with my ladies just to get them out of pain. Get them going, getting moving. I have someone that wants to lose £100. Then I have another girl that's going to be in a bikini contest. So I do everything in between. You know what? Wherever you are in your fitness, like, right now, I can close that gap where you want to be and that's kind of my claim to Fame. It's just no meeting where you are now to where you want to be, being a solution in between. For all the things I just mentioned, sensor system, and it's proven, and all I am is baking results for my women. I've already done the work. I walk around. I look like this on purpose, so you can see that I know what I'm doing, however.

Danielle Cobo

Absolutely.

Lauren Powers

Yeah. But however, wherever you want to be, I can take you there, and that's kind of my gift. It's my Lane. It's my purpose. It's been my passion. So many things going on. Yes. The book you mentioned that's been a big undertaking and I'm very proud of now it is called Beneath the Muscle Unleash Inter Champion. In fact, I'd love to get any year listeners a free copy of that.

Danielle Cobo

That would be awesome. So generous of you.

Lauren Powers

Yeah, of course.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

It's just not my story. My blah, blah, blah all about me. Not at all. It just shares some of my tragedies, how I've overcome them, and then each chapter has a workbook, so reflect on the reader. So there's questions and it's simple, but it's a way to dive deep into what's going on in your personal life and how you can elevate the app and have more of an impact in your own world. So yeah, something I'm proud of with bestsellers in eleven countries.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

Thank you, in 98 categories. So it's been impactful, and it is something I'm proud of, and I'd love to have your Lister too, but I have a free copy on me, but yeah, other than that, things are just spoke going amazing. You know, my faith is just going so deep. We both share the same Church. I love that about you.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah, I was born and raised there. I love that Church, and even though I'm live thousands of miles away, I know you the military husband moved in the military, but we were talking about listening to Rick Warren, and I listened to him, and I immediately just feel like I'm at home and grounded and just in my belief and faith of how amazing God is.

Lauren Powers

 Absolutely.

Danielle Cobo

You’re right. It is God first than us, and we were talking, we have to put the oxygen mask on first. We have to take care of ourselves.

Lauren Powers

Yes. Otherwise, you're not good to the people you love. But women, I don't know, for surveys. I mean, by nature, we're born to nurture, and I think that's a nice thing, and so we really have to focus on that mindset in shifting gears a little bit and realize how important we are to everyone around us, and then if God forbid and I've seen it, you guys, please don't let it happen to you. You know, women are getting fit, and there's so many awful diseases more so now than ever. Because let's face it, the water we drink, the food we eat, the air we breathe are not the same.

Danielle Cobo

No, they're not.

Lauren Powers

You know, I'm a little bit older, and I remember when eating nutritious food tastes like you said, breathing fresh air. Yeah. Now you have to do all these other special things behind the scenes to combat what's going on in our world. But that's knowledge and that's information and implementing this and caring for yourself and back. So when people said, oh, you're always running around to all these things for yourself, it's self-care and self-love, because I need to be. This is the only body I have. I need to be as fit, as flexible, and still as fabulous as I can. So I so for love, three-fifth fears and fabulous. Why not at 40 50 plus? Because I have a forward firefighter. Now I focus on the females go on and on Pretty Face First Family, and it's fun, but so great how you like that? I like that and a lot of us.

Danielle Cobo

It's giving us a great time to transition into your podcast, which I'm so excited I listened to one of them this morning. It was amazing, and it's the Power Hour with Lauren Powers. So tell us a little bit about your podcast.

Lauren Powers

Absolutely. In fact, this is the other studio, so I switched gears here. You can see I've got the neon sign and all this fun stuff. Girl boss. Yes. It's just a platform, Danielle. To where, like, what you're doing the same kind of thing that I'm giving other women professional entrepreneurs just a place to get their message out. There's more exposure, and it's fun. I love doing it. I love being interviewed, and I love interviewing on both sides. We call it The Power Seat. Yesterday, I actually went live on location for my first episode, and it was a pretty big production, and I just had the CEO of the company that was at Call Me Back, and if you want to book me to do the same thing at all locations, they're like, 16 of them. So yeah, we did something right. So that was fun. So I'll be doing the Power Hour live on location more. So if this is a way again, if you have any guests that want to be on my show as well, they just go to powerhourtv.com for less than I have application and all that. So they want to get their message out or their location, their business, product or service, whatever it is they're doing, their coaching, whatever it may be. It's just another way to give back. So it's exciting, called Power Hour or Power. It's an hour long show and so for my guest and never run out of things to say, we have a lot to talk about.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

Super exciting. Yes. So this is going well, and it is a podcast as well. So we do it live and then we go on and it's on probably the same as yours. That's just on Apple, Amazon, Google, Fire Stick or Pandora. I don't know, everywhere. They're putting it everywhere. There's 10, 11 episodes up there so far. So we just started since every week. Yeah.

Danielle Cobo

Awesome.

Lauren Powers

Yeah. Thanks. It's great, and that's how we met. I guess I was on Terrace podcast Smart Women, and you heard me on that. Now I'm on your show. Now you're going to be on my show.

Danielle Cobo

Absolutely. I would be honored to be on your show, and like you said, it's giving back. It's giving people a platform to share their message, sharing these podcasts is really about helping other people and giving them an opportunity to share their message and give back, and that's exactly why we do this. So it's amazing that you're putting that together and getting that platform for people.

Lauren Powers

Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah. It's going well. I got the show. We got the podcast. I'll be going back into live events pretty soon. I do in as a Power many events, speakers come out again and share their message live. I've been asked to speak quite a few times this year as well. So I'm excited about that because this is all kind of new, this whole women entrepreneur side of it. I've always been an entrepreneur, but on the fitness level, when I was competing, all I had to do is worry about myself. So it's kind of as a selfish sport.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

It just is because you're on stage literally be judge from head to toe by strangers looking at you and they don't know anything about you. They just know what you look like, have a whole different mindset. So since I've shifted gears, I actually end up owning the show. So I was an athlete. Then I became the promoter and then I became a judge for the US and travel judge women's world events, I should say, but that I show to the women of Power. It is fine. So that's why, again, being health and the fitness part of it is with the faith. Now it's just elevated my own personal development. Instead It in my Lane. These things really nice, because I feel like if you don't share your information and your experience and your past journeys and how you've developed your successes with other people and that's being selfish. So I have all this knowledge and information, all these tips and tricks and things I've been doing for years on how to have six-pack ads for the last 20 years. You know what I'm saying? I got to tell people and share it.

Danielle Cobo

Right.

Lauren Powers

I can just hold it on to it all for myself like I used to, because that was for competing. But now I've already been there, done that. Now I need to just it's all about getting results for others, and so I've learned that through leadership and all these other kids. That's right. There a terror or mutual Frias and leadership. She was one of the coaches.

Danielle Cobo

A leadership in June. I'm so excited.

Lauren Powers

You are your leadership.

Danielle Cobo

Yep.

Lauren Powers

Oh, wow. Okay. Because it's virtual now.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah. I'm a big advocate. I've always been a big advocate of personal development and leadership development. I'm constantly, I wake up every morning. I have podcasts. I Journal in my face Journal every day, and I'm so excited to take leadership. I have to be. I will say I'm a little scared because I know it's really going to open up my heart to a lot of things limiting beliefs, and I came from corporate world, I didn't feel like I can be authentic and apologetically me and share my story, and I believe that this is going to really help get it out.

Lauren Powers

Absolutely. I'll I'm so excited for you because that's huge. I mean, it's called vision. So you develop your vision and the next step you go through breakthrough, is literally called breakthrough. Guys, I named my challenge after that. I have a five day body breakthrough movement that's faith based now for Christian women that want to be fear and fabulous and with accountability by summer. I don't know whether it's going to air, but May 24 to 28th will be my five day free challenge doing just that. So I want to make sure I mentioned that, because that's going to be a fun thing. That's free. Yeah.

Danielle Cobo

Absolutely. Give women a chance to really have that break through one again, and like you said, we take care of everybody else, and it's so important for the nurtures. You said it exactly. We nurture and we take care of everybody else, and we need to nurture ourselves first.

Lauren Powers

Exactly in that order, faith and then us, faith first and then us. That's all that I choose. I choose me thing, and there's so many ways to do it. It doesn't have to be this huge shift, but just little baby steps and those steps all add up, and it just twist. The results are huge, a little changes that's be overwhelmed, and then things happen. They just do. You can't help. But when you do all these things, you can't help. I get results.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah, you're right. It's about baby steps. I remember I used to go so overwhelmed and so just about feeling like I need to work out every single day, and so in 2021, I basically said, I'm gonna ride my bike three days a week, and I'm just gonna stick with that, and if that works for me, that works for me, and it's motivated me to ride more. But I didn't set myself to doing seven days a week and feeling so overwhelmed by it. Those babies’ steps been getting you back into the group of things.

Lauren Powers

Set yourself up for success, and that's not going to be about. I'm going to take a step by step each day from what foods we eat, what supplements we take, even what clothes we wear, how low mini fashion show, equipment to buy for home gym different aren't open yet. You want to still be able to do it, and again, not to overwhelm you, and my whole thing is, too, is the people that coach with me. If I have them carve out in their calendar, literally making a date with themselves. Self-care, self-love comes in, and choosing yourself is carve. That time out were no distractions, whether it's getting a massage or give yourself a facial or magic the smallest things. Yes, but then it all adds up. You start doing that every day, and maybe it's only 20 minutes at first, and you can move them to a half hour, and my whole goal is to have women date themselves for an hour.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

We really give them an hour, whether it is going to the gym, working out, jumping online with me, and coming to the power hour. Whatever that hour looks like, harm it out, and if you're anything like me, my phone and the calendar runs my life, that's not even our own today. Okay. It's schedule. Is there? Okay. Boom. I just don't wear it to be okay at this time. This time, this time. But it's organized, and so you don't get that feeling I'm overwhelmed because that see you down, and let's face it. We really want to keep our stress level on a more organized and simpler. We can do it and give ourselves great. I'm all about that. Like whatever you did yesterday, or you ate chocolate cake last night. If someone's birthday, whatever, don't beat yourself up. I work with a lot of times that do that. They come in there like, oh, I hate this. That and look at. I gave this for you. Puns are in cold at it, and then what is this? What is this? They look in the mirror and they start Loading themselves and feeding themselves up, and then those negative self-talk come out, and then they're saying these horrible things to themselves in the mirror. I'm like, stop, stop, stop, stop, and then we got to change the language super important and give yourself Grace Ladies, it's okay. You know what I mean? The thing is, you got to look at is decide now whether you're listening right this minute. Take it to stand and stay committed and stand for yourself. Stand for yourself and for your confidence and your body and elevate yourself and give yourself that time and not be yourself up.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

It's like, okay, I just make a decision and then go for it and little baby stuff. Danielle, say, just do the one step at time, ride or by three days a week, and then if you do four now, it's even a moral success is appointment your success, and so it's the little things, and it makes such a big difference.

Danielle Cobo

Absolutely. It is a little things, and you're saying schedule time to take care of your house, schedule time to work out, and I see the same thing with my client with career coaching. Take time, carve out time for your personal development, read a leadership book, read anything that's going to help you succeed in your career, and a lot of that is it's self-care as well as your development, and we have to take care of ourselves. My husband flies black hats one night a week, and he's always like, what do you do those nights? I'm like, okay, well, I do face masks. I watch my early TV shows. I do peels on my face. I am from paper session.

Lauren Powers

Yeah.

Danielle Cobo

I love this secretly. I really look forward to those days because it's just the sight of me.

Lauren Powers

Yeah, that's what we're talking about.

Danielle Cobo

I believe you gotta take care of yourself.

Lauren Powers

Then you feel what you feel so much better.

Danielle Cobo

I feel, yes.

Lauren Powers

And then when he comes home, you're all in a good mood, and so everybody wins. That's the most. It's a win, win.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

That's just the name of the game. But a lot of people are missing that boat, and so I just feel this. I love getting out platforms like this just to keep getting the word out and not to sound like a broken record. But you need to keep saying that.

Danielle Cobo

It's not a broken record. You need to get it over and over and over again. You you've got to give yourself permission to take care of yourself and be compassionate with yourself. There's gonna be some days where you're going to eat nothing but fruits and veggies and meat and be super healthy, and then there's me some days. Were you on a sport to the chocolate cake and it’s okay to do that. No. Would you say your thought? No. So why do we tell ourselves these things? Yes.

Lauren Powers

Exactly. Self- love, ladies. Self- love. Wherever you are, like I said, we're giving yourself Grace, and that permission. I like that, create them permission. Those two and together, and then you feel better and things will change, and I don't even like talking about losing weight I talked about. So I'll talk about releasing weight. If you lose somebody, you can go fight it yet.

Danielle Cobo

That’s true to releasing weight. You also said about the physique that's right for that person. That's right. We all different. We all have beautiful figures in our own way. There's not just one way to be and you design the physique that's best for that person.

Lauren Powers

Correct, that's exactly right. I had a girl that wanted to be professional singers to get famous and all this, and she was looking at the fingers are super skinny, and I'm like, you will never look like that. It's not your frame, your guiding design in that way. Let's make the best version of you with what you have and to sculpt it and make it beautiful. You can't be on a recover.

Yes.

Lauren Powers

It is compare each other and try to re stand that.

Danielle Cobo

I don't understand that I've been around women where they lived in Orange County. Well, you know, in Orange County. I was 100% transparent with this. I really struggled with living in Orange County. I grew up in Orange County. I lived there for 30 years, and I remember when I moved out of Orange County and I moved from Orange County to Enterprise, Alabama with you, it was 45 minutes to the nearest Starbucks. I was thinking from Newport Beach to Enterprise, Alabama. Yeah, and I remember two things about that moment. One way I felt confident to not wear makeup. I felt confident to just be myself because I wasn't comparing myself to every other Newport Beach girl. So everyone's a ten there, and the other thing.

 Lauren Powers

Competition was high.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah, competition is really high, and the other thing I learned is I remember when I moved to Alabama and somebody said, Danielle, you might not want to carry that purse around here Or, Danielle, you may wear heels around here because that's not how to dress, and I said, no, I'm gonna be true to who I am.

Lauren Powers

That's right.

Danielle Cobo

I'm gonna dress the way I want because you said, just like you said, I want to feel confident, and if I dress up, I feel confident and I just light up, and that's how we addressed, and if other people think that I'm too dressed up or they don't like the way that I'm dressed and that's on them.

 Lauren Powers

As stupid as alright.

Danielle Cobo

No problem. I like wearing heels, and I also like wearing foot back. It depends on what my mood is that day, but I'm not going to change who I am.

Lauren Powers

Thank you. Thank you. So you're going to rock leadership. I'm so excited, you're going

Danielle Cobo

I'm so excited to know. Excited and nervous.

Lauren Powers

Yeah. Then the break of the breakthrough is good. I really like that, and then I did experience these major things personally because I've done a lot of work along the way. But what I was so amazed by is hearing some of the stories and literally seeing these people, like, almost change their parents like they became new people, like stepped into their own, and that was just system. It's really good work for he can never stop learning and surround yourself with people that you aspire to be like being the top of the food change, like I always want a people that do have more learning, learning, learning, you know, pick their brains. How did you do this? I just love that like a sponge.

Danielle Cobo

Yes.

Lauren Powers

But the site to be remodel to others as well. So it's almost a talent. That's me.

Danielle Cobo

That's where we get to have this platform, you know, and when we're surrounded by a group of women that are entrepreneurs and they've had all success, it's great because we could aspire to it. We could be part of that network, and at the same time, we get to have platforms like this where we get to just pour in and give and give and give so that other women that are coming up can aspire to do the same and to be empowered to do the same, and that's why we have these platforms.

Lauren Powers

So absolutely, absolutely are like, how do you do it? How do you do it all you're on TV or in Hollywood doing all these things? Now you're doing you're on TV show. Now you're on the podcast, and now you're doing live shows and you're traveling and your teaching and you've got clients. You just do it. I mean, I'll be trust us to I don't have children. I have my four legged one running around and that's full time. I don't know how you ladies, I have a new respect for moms. My little baby had back surgery and was girlie with her back legs, and so she needed me 24/7. And so I understand now being true.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah.

Lauren Powers

That's a lot of work.

Danielle Cobo

It is a lot of work, more super.

Lauren Powers

More respect for moms, I absolutely do have ten. It's amazing. But I feel the busier women are seems to be the more they can get done.

Danielle Cobo

Absolutely. So I never understood before having kids. I was like, my job is so demanding. How do I do this? And people often will ask me, your husband was deployed for a year. You had two year old twins, and you traveled 60% of the time across five States. How did you do it with my little man? I said, you know what? You just do it. You put 1ft in front of the other. You take a day by day. There's going to be days where you're an awesome mother and not such a great employee, and there's gonna be days or an awesome employee and not such a great mom. But you give yourself compassion for it and you just take it day by day. It's not gonna be perfect, and you're really intentional with your time. Very intentional with your time, and so it's interesting that actually having kids. I have better balance in my life.

Lauren Powers

Yeah, I bet you have to, have to make it off.

Danielle Cobo

Yeah, what I've done. I'm like, okay, let's go do this. I never did that before, and so you become more intentional with your time.

Lauren Powers

Well, clearly, you look fabulous, and you're joined at all I haven't been, but I hope to they need to come to Florida and visit.

Danielle Cobo

Yes, I would love that I'll come back to Orange County and visit to go get these women run for their money.

Lauren Powers

I don't compete, don't compete, don't compare elaborate. No.

Danielle Cobo

Yes. So, Lauren, where can everybody find you? Because I know my listeners have just have listened to such a powerful message today, and where can they find you?

Danielle Cobo
